About me
I am Antonio Míguez Amil.
I was born in a small microcosm of people and landscapes, behind that wall where the vineyard was. I arrived in the world in 1968. Everything has changed a lot, but I was caught by the vision of my childhood among rivers, streams and hills covered with vineyards. The advice I heard most often was: “Study and find a profitable job, the earth is very enslaving.”
Passion
After several years of thinking about the future while traveling around the world, I had the desire to recover the activity that my relatives had developed since at least the 18th century, making wine in one of the regions with the most history in Europe, El Ribeiro.
Then, from 1993, I recovered old vineyards and ancestral production areas on the slopes and hills on the banks of the Avia river, where I replanted the grape varieties of the country that gave so much fame to the wines of this region.

Crafts
I cannot conceive of wine without good vineyards, nor can I conceive of good vineyards without a living and healthy natural environment.
I like to follow the sermons of Steiner and Risco, the words of Castelao, Manuel María, Otero Pedrayo, Fina Casalderrey, Curros or Marina Mayoral, among others, because of the appreciation they have for the earth and the beings that inhabit it, whether real or imaginary, and because they take into account the wisdom of the farmers who looked at the moon and followed the proverbs.
